EFL at pulau ubin. day 1
woke up at 5.45. got ready, ensured everything was packed. then went to school to assemble. it was raining!! what a way to start our trip! went to the hall and we took pics! a lot of pics! went to the bus. sat with jiayi. karthika with elspeth behind, janice and xiulin behind them. jiayi and i watched POT on her phone and heard music before reaching the jetty. it was still raining and we got kind of wet. so we hurried to get our bags and went to the shelter. took boats to the pulau ubin. mr francis came with  us. we were the first to get on board, but not the first to reach. the boat was kind of slow. we weren't on time at all for the whole day.

but we went to the conference room and just sat there whilst we got introduced to our instructors by freddy foo. instructor IC. same as last year! our class has pinwen(he came in the first night, the day, he had some other stuff), cherlene and edwin. took a long time to remember their names. second day i think? longer then mummy and daddy! we went to do our flag.the rain stopped. and we planned for the flag and cheers. then it rained so we went to the shelter with two dogs underneath the table! so cute!! planned and all. did the flag. while some others did the cheers. took a long time where most of us strayed away, nothing to do. the dogs scare people by walking here and there under the table,. but they are so cute! went back to the conference hall to assemble. cheered and sang songs. by shannon!  had lunch. the food is nice! bento set! we gathered in the place after lunch to do more cheers and bumble bee cheer.miss is so much! as well as stomach headache! haha! and pinwen's donald duck! all from last year! then we had to go and pack our bags. for the overnight stay. no clothes or toothbrush. just day pack. file, stationery, torchlight, bottle.

assembled back and we had to plan for the route to take.planned and all. and had to find some stuff for bonus points too! group 8 was to go to 3 checkpoints, group 7 to two. edwin and ms koh followed us. it was 4 plus and we had to be back by 6. the campsite. so we walked and talked and took pics. then we walked and walked and we passed a sign that says no entre except vehicles. so we are clearly on  the wrong route. we just turned back and since we had no time, just walked to the campsite. was so tired. didn't carry the big haversack until almost to the end.

so we found a good spot to build our tent. but the sticks were broken, so we tried to fix them. but cannot! so had to abandone plan! two tents were up. waited for the other group. but their tents had no sticks! so only two tents! we got ready our cooking stuff and the van arrived with some tents, fuel and pinwen! yay! so we got the ready build tent. 6 of us all inside! so happy! we started cooking. noodles, hotdogs and baked beans. ate the baked beans first cos no need to cook. then the fire was so big!!! so elspeth, being the best cook, cooked for us! yay! thanks! and the noodles tasted so good!!!!! yay!! could not turn on the torch as it would attract insects. even without lights, insects came already. so no lights. until later. after eating, we went to the tent to arrange sleeping stuff. 6 bags, 6 of us. just enough space to turn!

then some people came to ask to help to move the stones so that tents can be build. so we moved the stones and some groups build the tents in darkness! got 6 tents finally! then cherlene said that can only have 5 tents and must sleep in room order! but we begged her, saying that room has 9 people, cannot fit!  so we could stick to our own arrangement. chloe came to join us cos only 5 tents! 7 people. very tight! got into our bags, talked a while, then had debrief before sleeping! no space to turn at all!


for chalet arrangements the next two nights, it was like janice and i in 303, elspeth and karthika in 305, jiayi in 307, xiulin in 309. our chalet, alicia, candice, cassandra, chanel, janice, chloe, christabelle. alicia, janice, chloe, christabelle and me on top! the rest at the bottom! happy with my room mates all so nice!!!
