so... i'm back!!! been back since wed!!! :)

so about the trip!

day 1- 28th june- mon - singapore to manchester to york

sad the final goodbyes to everyone then boarded the plane at 12.40. late night plane so slept most of the way through. plane took off at 12.55 actually, the start of about 17 hours of journey to manchester. we too emirates. had a stopover in columbo and dubai. had the opportunity to sit A380 from dubai to manchester!!! :) so, sat with Yorksun all the way. watched New year's eve. good show and makes me want to see the New York ball drop! was never someone who like romance shows but still watched it anyway. wanted to watch The Vow but didn't last the whole show.

then, after another 2 hours of bus ride from manchester, we reached York!!! :) it was morning there. visited the York castle museum. took lots of pictures and had a great time! saw many rooms, some birds, a mill, the prisoners exercise area and the actual cells in which the prisoners were kept in. cells were quite scary. its like being in a horror show, which i dislike!!!! also saw what the people wore in those days and how their rooms were like. quite interesting. went in a group of 8, everyone from A03. :) clique! had pasta for dinner. found this $2 shop opposite the dinner area and bought chocolate mash mellows! :D

checked into the lodge. it was about 7? and the sky was still bright! :)  it was quite a nice place with a nice big room for 2 people. not homesick as usual. but slept quite early. seriously, i slept when the sun hasn't set and woke up after the sun rose! it was quite warm today!

day 2 - 29th june - tues - york

had a muffin and croissant for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and a burger for dinner! eating a lot, but also eating vege and fruits. :) so, started the day with shopping time in york central area. bought chocolates and some gifts. went to the university of york to attend a seminar on theatre studies. we learnt what each scene means, how different things like lighting, sounds and characters help to portray the meaning of each scene. had a tour of the university where we saw a pond that stretches out to the whole of the university. saw ducks and swans in it! :) had another lecture by the same teacher for remains of the day. it was not boring at all!!

visited York Minster where there were beautiful glass panels that decorated the whole church and a beautiful choir! bought more souvenirs then headed down to dinner. we were given about S$20 for dinner. 8 of us bought burgers and it was huge! cost about $16 for mine. but it was nice! had to wait a long time for it so no more shopping time. and also bought Macs ice cream. :D its colder then the previous day but still quite warm. went for a ghost walk around 7 plus but it was still bright so no thrill!

partied with the 6 girls in faezah's room. managed to use her iPad so can use FB! :) we talked, eat, laughed, did crazy stuff, played murderer and they climbed on top of each other. i was just the camera woman. haha!
