time to post about the trip! its a lot!

26th nov-sat
singapore-dubai-rome
took our first plane to dubai, about 6 hours plus. had sandwiches and breakfast which tasted quite good. flew to rome after a 3 hours transit. emirates seats are uncomfortable but there were nice movies to watch to make up for it. getting through emigration was a nightmare. spent 40mins waiting cos the people were just slow. finally boarded the boat after an hour of bus ride and another hour waiting to get in. it was already night time in singapore and since we left at 2am, well, the whole trip was quite long. arrived in time for lunch in rome. 7 hours behind us. slept cos was so tired, missed dinner. no asians on board except us! :(

27th nov-sun
genva, italy
sailed to genova and arrived in the morning.didn't go down cos we were tired and we didn't book a land excursion anyway. had buffet breakfast then went swimming! :) pool was quite empty cos most people weren't on board. pol was filled with salt water. bathed, had buffet lunch and toured the boat. talked to some of the waiters during lunch. slept and had dinner. dinner is fixed seating with a fixed waiter, ours is subagiyo. met a south african couple at dinner as they were beside us. friendly people! dinner's at 6 every night! very filling. i'm eating too much! watched a singing show, frank forever. guys were good, girls spoilt the song. finally a jap group boarded! :)

28th nov(mon)
barcelona
went to the gym after breakfast but it was too crowded so we didn't do much. stopped at barcelona in the afternoon. tour was supposed to be in french and german but since there were 6 english speaking people on the tour, the guide had to speak a bit of english as well. but its just the basics like what time to meet and where we are going.saw the sagrada familia chruch which is to be completed in 2026, 100 years after they started building it. its magnificent. got souvenirs then headed to the barcelona stadium. took almost 2 hours to tour the inside and buy stuff from the shop there. wore jeans so felt uncomfortable but saw the olympic torch!!!!! and the stadium cos olympics was there in 1992. went to montjuich hill where we saw the whole of south barcelona. the city is surrounded by the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. had dinner straight away after boarding the boat. they are very strict on timing. dinner at 6 means you order at 6, leave the port at 6 means that the boat will move off at 6, won't wait for anyone. talked a lot to our South african friends. they have travelled a lot and seen animals in the wild! missed the piano recital cos we slept. there's a performance every night.
