buffet breakfast. started looking for and talking to this guy at this buffet place-sudiarta. :) no more swimming cos got period. :( went for a jeep tour! shared a jeep with a london couple and venesuala(is it?)-this couple was very unfriendly towards us. they made some trouble with the seating arrangement for the jeep. some cruise guy(d'ambrosio) came with us to oversea the tour(the cruise people were orange shirts so i call them the orange shirt people). he's part italian but can speak good eng. nice guy. even though the tour was supposed to be in english, only 5 eng people took the tour. :( it was a sight seeing trip. we saw two beaches, one with sahara desert sand and the other with volcanic sand,its black! saw many views of the towns, cities, mountains and greenery. a bit boring..... returned to the boat for lunch and slept past dinner cos my parents didn't want to get up to dress up for the gala night. captain decides the attire for the day, so it can be formal, informal or casual. watched the musical show! it was good!!!! it showcaed a pianist, violinist and the same singers as before. heard songs like swan lake and phantom of the opera. there's a show every night to keep us entertained. walked round the boat. saw d'ambrosio. talked to him for a while.

buffet breakfast. :) took a bus ride to the city of funchal. finally had a tour guide that speaks english all the way! :) at least we can understand more. hong kong and jap people came with us. thanks to that, some crew said 'ohiyo' to me.... do i look jap? saw d'ambrosio and waved. the place was built mostly on mountians and cliffs so the roads were very narrow. so there are small cars! amazing how the driver could manuvour such a big vehicle on small roads. tmep was less then 20 degress and though its the usual in winter, its the highest temperature so far. visited one of the highest points of the place, saw nun village and took pics. bought souvenirs and cakes/sweets too! the food is supposed to taste good(and it does) and the cake lasts for a year. visited another church and took the cable car. the start point is where the founders of funchal first landed. took a pic with msc fantasia and a fisherman gave me a fish to hold! :) tasted 18% wine. its sweet wine but it tasted bitter to me. went to the boat for lunch.and thankfully woke up in time for dinner after sleeping. talked to our african friends, joe(jospeh) and madeleine(though my mum says its marilyn) and julie joined their table. julie was alone the others at her table played at the casino. show tonight was Fantasia. its good! more dancing and singing. went to liquid disco for dancing. :)

at sea
eating at the buffet place as usual. went with mum to do arts and crafts. today's theme is pirates! so we had a white shirt each and had to paint something with the pirates theme. our work looks like kindergarten work... :( went to liquid disco for dancing then lunch. saw sudiarta again and i wanted a pic with him! aw the towel folding demo. it was good! they made cranes, flowers, an elephant and a dog. learnt country dance then got pulled into the ships game! we won!!!! got pulled into soft aerobics too but it was good! had dinner then slept till morning! missed the pirates show and samba dance lesson. heard that the show was good! well, too bad! :( actually, there are two timings for the show. 7.15 and 9.15. 9.15 is for the first seating which is us. we finished dinner in time for the 71.5 one but we thought we would wait for the second show. in the end, we slept! :(
