yay!! family trip to melaka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cheered me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hyper cos of this! relaxed!)
sunday
so today, woke up at 7. heard the house phone ring and mum picked up the phone. grandma called, saying she was going to come with us, but didn't want me to know. for a surprise. cos she was sick last night and said she may not come. hehe! they didn't know i was kind of listening in. then slept again. was super tired. couldn't really sleep soundly again, partly excited. the rest, mixed feelings? so finally woke up for real, got ready. made last minute arrangements for the seating of cars. then we set off! 3 of us plus mama, then yi en and parents in one car, yima and yizhang in another. 3 cars! so my dad stopped at a R&R halfway, had icecream! baskin robins, don't think they have it in singapore any more. ice cream at 10.30!! bought chewing gums and idk where they are now! so continued on the journey. we arranged to meet at the hotel at 11.30. -.- yima reached there before us, even though they set off after us!! so we met up around 1 plus. stoned and slept most of the way there. went for lunch at jonker street.(i think that's the name of the place) so... eventful lunch time! yien sat with us in the car. and we reached the place first because dad took a wrong turn, which happened to be a short cut! so we went to wait at some shop, found a place upstairs and sat down eating nus. btw, the shop was selling deserts, but we ate nuts from some small stall outside. dad went to queue for a seat at a chicken rice stall, and the rest came. so i went down and queued with them. then mama looked out of the shop they were at and said to buy more nuts! hehe! it was on the second level and she was waving at some balcony thing. people stared!!!! went to buy the nuts, and cousin came down to fetch it. both yi zhangs went to look for other shops to eat at. we finally moved to another chicken rice stall.

so, lunch time was hilarious! we walked there in groups. yi zhang went, then yi ma held me VERY tightly and walked down just a small street. then the rest came. and we sat down at a table. it was a bit cramped as we were in the middle of the shop and we were a big group! 9 of us! there was air con there. we were deciding on the food to eat. and yizhang said he would go to order. turns out, he ordered everything they had on the menu, to try. we got on to deciding what drinks we wanted. after about 5 min, he said, drinks? ordered already!!! haha! we were like, huh? wow..... after that, found another table at the back of the stall. more space, so we shifted there. but it was warmer as there was only fans. more space! and balloon decoration to make up for it! there was this funny toilet sign!! will post the pic up here. finally the food came. main dishes... no cutlery??? haha! then everything came. we ate.... talked, laughed. food was okay.... after lunch, mama, dad, yizhang, cousin and i went back to the hotel. the rest went to walk!

reached the hotel, got our rooms. mama, yi en and i were supposed to sleep in the room that had a king size bed. dad and mum had the adjoinig room. yi zhang and yiyi had the room next to ours, and yima and yizhang had one further down. all on the same level. so the rooms numbers, 1013, 1007,1008, 1009. 1008 was mama's and mine. so we went into 1007 first... there was a door linking the two rooms, 07,08. was trying to push the door open, then pull. didn't move much. finally went out and wanted to go into 08 with the main door, but it was locked and can't open. so went back into 07. pulled the door and found yi zhang on the other side! got a shock! haha! then cousin went to her parents room to sleep. slept on the bed.... until 7.30!! OMG! so long! and slept so much on the car too.

went down out for dinner. cousin didn't go, she was sick.... so slept in the hotel room. again, going to dinner was like some small adventure. dad and yi zhang drove. and we were supposed to go up some bridge thing. yi zhang led. and we went round and round. finally got to the place. got out of the car, and some guy at the carpark was kind of rude......anyway, went into the place. food was great! had kom bak bao(something like that)!! yay! 4 of it! nice! went back to the hotel room. cousin ended up sleeping in her parents room, so mama and i shared a king size bed! soaked in the bath tub.... with ss notes, to study for test. hope it works? went online for a while. read a book. then slept. very soundly. was dreaming and dreaming. can't say what i dreamt about. and slept through the thunderstorm at night! OMG!

today
so woke up for real at 7.30. mama woke me up around 7, but just wanted to sleep more. then yiyi and cousin came to our room. there was a lot of calls and ringing of out doors! haha! cos we were the only adjoining room, so easier to call us i guess? when the door bell rang, idk which room it was supposed to be, cos the door joining the two rooms was open. so just opened my room door! okay, any way, yiyi and yi en came in, was half asleep! but cousin looked well and okay! yay!!! we talked, and saw that the ground was wet outside. only then did i know it rained heavily! still can't believe i slept through a thunderstorm! went down for breakfast!

there was no seats for 9 of us, so we had to split up. had a great breakfast! pancakes! cakes! muffins! baked beans! hash browns! okay, ate a lot! mama still said i ate very little??? after breakfast, wanted to go up to the room with cousin to play cards. we got the card to 1007, but the door was stuck, somehow, and didn't have the key to 1008, so we went to her room instead. played chess on her computer. against the computer. haha! we changed the sound for the voice of the computer! so funny! then we tried to give it voice commands, didn't work!!! :( finally played against ourselves. then mum called from our room to ask why we were in cousin's room. apparently they could get into the room. -.- we tried using the card to get into 1007 again, this time the door sign kept turning red! mum finally opened the door for us. cousin got confused with the two cards she was holding. then went to try to open her room door, came back, and said, forgot which one it is again!! hahahaha! so we played cards and heard music. the room has an ipod stand.

after the rest came up, yiyi, yima, yizhang, dad, mum and me went to the shopping centre opposite to buy stuff. had about 40min? cos we left around 10.45, had to be back by 12 and plus walking time, not much time left. crossing the road was fun! in that time, we split up. went with mum. bought schools shoes from bata! heels to replace the old ones and a book. mum got a book too! almost bought pants..... but decided against it!

went back to the hotel room, packed up, went to check out. took some last minute pics. went to the toilet with cousin, saw a cactus which looked like it had 5 fingers. then took pics in the toilet! finally, left the hotel! the journey does not end there! mama went home with us. we left around 12 plus. went to buy stuff! then got lost! and found a place to eat lunch. had fishball noodles. in the end, we left for home only at 2.25! slept on the journey back. slept whilst thinking! OMG! and we bought some stuff at the shops. there were four bottles in the boot and it kept rolling, so at one point, i just climbed over and git the bottles(car is toyota picnic, the boot and front of the car is joined). just coming back... well, my leg was in the middle, then went down and crushed everything that was in the middle seat, including the food! best part is, there was this toothpick that just missed my knee when it went through some styromfoam box!!! stopped at a rest stop halfway there, then finished the journey home. customs was not that bad, both going to melaka and coming home. went to buy bread for dinner. mama and dad wanted durian, but don't have!

so tmr, going out with shareen and leechin! yay! have to wake up early, its almost 12 now. so going to sleep soon! had a great time with whole family! will remember this trip, first time we all went overseas together! no words can explain the feeling now, its just too great! :) thank you, my family.
