monday's carnival

i can't wait for it!!!!!! and i hope that there are some seniors coming down to watch. i think i'll need some help on the court. someone needs to help me. it wpould be good if shiqian is here but she is going to OBM. or maybe zhixin, yunhe, lixian and teresa? they are all shooters(and good ones). so pleaseeeeeeeeee help me! i am scared. my pases are horrible after the nz trip and there is no confirmed GS. defending side, we have to count on nurin! go nurin, you can do it! and there is no GK. so no confirmed shooter and GK. how?

well, i hope we do well!!!!!!! its going to be the first ever carnival that only sec1s are playing. sec1 netballers, i hope you realise that this carnival will be our last one together as a team of sec1s only. next tme's carnival's, we'll be either with our seniors or juniors. when we are sec2s, we will play with sec1s. when we are sec3s, we will play with sec4s/sec5s. when we are sec4s, we will play with sec2s. so please treasure this last carnival together. it may well be the last time we are playing together as a team. next year, we will be with next year's sec1s.so make the most of this carnival!

btw, yesturday was yien's birthday. so happy birthday yien! or rather happy belated birthday! but i wished you yesturday already! so its okay.......

we trained in the rain!

yeah so today was like raining a lot and so we trained in the rain. ran round the school for 10 minutes then had to run again for mrs mok. then did drills in the canteeen. shiqian threw a ball for me and i missed so it hit mrs mok's bottle but she didn't see. thankfully! if not i must buy her a drink! and denise was throwing the ball for me at the end of the canteen and i was sooo scared that the ball will go off the parapet! it almost happened twice! once i caught it like beyond the parapet and the second time was just in line with it. but its not denise's fault. its mine. i was standing a bit too near the parapet. then had to go to the court to do this new drill. and shiqian, lixian, abigail and i did it together. it was fun but we changed drill and it become a bit boring. then training ended. hey shiqian, hope you don't get sick. its OBM next monday. and don't forget to give khoongeok your jersey! then went home and ate chicken rice for lunch.

shareen came over and stayed till like 5? we talked and played monopoly. then we played some games till 5 before she had to go home. her arrival was not planed. haha, shareeen, come to my hosue again!!!!!!!!!

yay! went out with sec1 netballers

well, not all the sec1 netballers, some only. today had training but it was not that tough. played court game. the worst part was the running. we are back to the shooting drill again. don't shoot in, run round the court, all the shooters running, run round the track! so it was very tiring. and i cannot shoot! i need more shooting practise. its quite obvious. but during the game, i could shoot! i guess i can not shoot properly when i am training but on the court, like playing a match, i can shoot. but i need to have a GS that can shoot well. and can work well with! then after training, got to wait for this person to come to show us our next year's school team jersey. and went out with kaiwei, nurin, gracia, inez, sinwei to tiong to eat lunch. then homed

training was very slack!

yeah, today only had sec1s training. well, and one sec3. here are the people that came. kaiwei, nurin, sinwei, inez, gracia, gladys, abigail soo, denise and me. so altogether have 9 people. but denise was our so called coach. coach lim! haha, but we didn't call her that. i learnt like 3 new drills today. the others already learnt but i haven't since i went to newzealand. why???? 3 drills is a lot. any way, thanks to all of you for teaching me the new drills. and helping me to understand them! haha, it took a while for me to understand cos it was soooo tough to do. actually, after you get the drill, it is not that tough. but its because there was no punishment. we played halfcourt the last like 10 minutes? then inez and i went to bukit merah's macs to have fries. then homed. and on the comp now!

but i am finding that going on the internet is very boring. except for posting, which is all about netball, i have nothing much to do. my msn have a lot of contacts but no one really talks to me on msn. so i appear online but it is as if i am appearing offline. :(

today's training

welll, so much for looking forward to training! today we ran soooooo much! i need more stamina. i think that's what's lacking now. my stamina. if i can improve it, it will be great. but today 8 sec1s came for training. that is good already. i guess. tomorrow will have self training. can't wait for it! and about 9 people will be there. the other three got reasons. so any way, i don't want to run so much! a bit less running and more court games!!!!!!!! i am longing for court games. but please don't rain any more! i hate rain on training days. it spoils the training. and the hall has no netball lines so can't play court game. well, that's all for now.

couson stayed over!

so last night, my couson stayed over at my house. it was super fun! we played comp games and her gameboy. then we slept at aobut 12. supposed to get up at 7.30 this morningbut woke only at 8.30! 1 hour late! haha, very funny. then we went to the st bernadate's church funfair. it was not very nice, stc's was better. but kellock's one beats stc's! i miss kellock's funfair! but any way, we just played a few games there and bought some stuff. then we did tatoos on our hands. so how am i going to go for training tomorrow? help! why did i even try to do tatoos on my hand? and its on my palm. don't worry, its those fake tatoos. so it is not permanant. but i don't know how to take it off. btw, i met Inez there! then we went to great world to walk and have lunch before coming back home. and we just used the comp until her mum came. but i'm still on the comp!

truthfully, i have nothing much to post about. any way, next week, there is 4 days of training. STC NETBALLERS, please come for training! i will be there! finally, i can train again. i hope it won't be too tough. and my shooting now sucks cos i haven't been pratising for a while. help!

btw, i hope you all got the pictures you wanted from my blog. i mean the newzealand ones. and amanda still owes me some pictures! i will post them once i get them. the pictures are the second last day ones. though i still haven't posted the pics i took in the attic. still, that will be another day. and i will also post the pics of my instructers soon. i have no time now. sorry!

getting used to life

well, i still have to get used to life in singapore. i am still sleeping at like 7 or 7 plus and i still wake at 3 plus? and i am still spending not more then 5 minutes in the toilet when i bath. i keep thinking that i am still in newzealand. once, i asked if something was burnable or not. when my mum asked me why, i said that i must put it in the correct bin. my mum was like WHAT? what bin? there is only one type of bin here and its for everything. no need to sort. haha. i guess its because my group for the nz trip cleaned the dustbins. well, mine was the recylcables so its not that tough. but those who did the pig bin, you are mighty brave!

today, went to school for the LAMDA exam. i flunked it. i didn't do well at all. i feel that i was not prepared. but still, i managed to finish it. then went home and came back to school for the national healthy lifestyle campaign thing. supposed to play captain's ball but didn't cause didn't sign up. so we just relaxed and did nothing but walk around. and could not get out of the place so amira, kaiwei, nurin, gracia, gladys and i just walked round and round and sat down to watch the performance then could go home at 6.30. reached home at 8. cause first, i missed the train. then i misssed the bus. and had to wait another 15 minutes for the next bus to come!!!!!

any way, to all sec1 netballers, please come for training okay. i know that kaiwei, nurin, sinwei and some others do come for training. but i want to see everybody for training next weeek. i do know that some of you can't because of a GOOD reason. but try not to get sick. cause the carnival is near and i want to be prepared for it. i know that training will be 4 hours, but it will do us good. seriously, it will help us. during the carnival and south zone, then you all will know why we need to train so hard. but its no use regretting that we didn't train hard enough. so now, put in your best! we can do it!

she is a great person to be with. her strenght-able to break branches! so during trekking, she got the name as 'protacter'. she cleared several pathways for us during the bushbashing! thank you sooo much!

she is kind and considerate. she is able to comfort people and see the bright side of things. she is patient and helps to explain things clearly. she is a great person to work with!

she is a wild person! however, she is very outgoing and trusty. she will help others who are in need and will put others above herself!

she is caring and helpful. however, she knows how to be strict at times! in fact, very strict! she is also able to succesfully comfort people.

she is a nice girl who is a ready listener. she is one who thinks of good ideas for the team.

she is helpful and good at leading the way.

christabel ong(3e)-dance
she is a very good leader. she knows how to lead properly and her map reading skills are great!

she is hyper(sometimes) and is very nice. she is trusty too!

so they are my 9 team mates who have helped me to go through my whole newzealand trip. thank you so much! you are one of the best groups that i have ever had!

this is how my dorm and dry room looks like. it is very clean! next time if you go to newzealand, try to go to OPC(outdoor pursuit centre). it is super nice! i want to go there again!

day 1 and day 2

day 1
met Khoongeok at the airport! OMG. talked to her for a while. well, khoongeok, thanks so much for coming down to see me and the rest. good luck for the rest of your olevels. today you had chinese. then two more days and it'll be over already! at 4.30, we said goodbye to our parents. 'cry'! no, i didn't. then we boarded the plane at 5.30 and reached kl at 6.30. had free time and dinner till 8. sat the next plane at 9.40. sat with amanda and delcia!

day2
arrived at airport and travelled by bus to OPC. sat with amanda again. stopped for macs for lunch. when we reached OPC, it was already very dark. but we still played a game. we went to the R.C to get our gear. then ahd lagsana for dinner before sleeping! yay! first night with my room mates!

day 3

woke at 6.30. saw that charmaine and huimin were not in their bed. got a shock! then i went out off bed. kristel was already awake. the others went to prepare breakfast! and so we ate breakfast. was porrige! then we met our instructer, dee. we had to clean the dustbins and sweep the pathway outside our dorm for duty. then we changed and got ready. we did a rope activity. then, we were joined together and had to head to the R.C to get our boots but amanda left her fleece pants in the dorm so we had to get it! it was tough and some of us had to crawl in cause we didn't want to take out our shoes. then we sat a small jeep and we climbed the mountain! it was great! we walked for a long time and then saw a beautiful waterfall. we actually went under the waterfall. so we got drenched. then we went back to our dorm and bathed before dinner and depreve. our first day at OPC was very fun! i'm glad i came.

day 4

so today, i woke at 5.45 and left for the kitchen at 6.30 to prepare lunch for the rest of my team. we made sandwiches. ham and tuna. breakfast was conflicks and porrige. there was baked beans too. partnered kristel for the morning activity. had to carry her and she had to carry me! kristel ,you should be honoured, no one has carried me for a long time! then we had this blindfolded game where i partnered delcia. we walked to the R.C to get some stuff then went bush bashing. had lots of mud and charmaine fell into it! there were lots of trees branches too! then we went into a tunnel. it was short but there was a lot of water. so i got super wet! then we had lunch and hen went for flying fox! it rocks! it was high but very fun. then we went to the river and walked into the river! we walked upstream actually. so we got wet.... then went up a huge flight of stairs to get back to our dorm and bath. we ate dinner(fish and chips) then slept! i was tired out!

day 5
woke up at 6 and had pancake for breakfast. cleaned dustbins and swept the pathway as duty. went for mountain climbing again to see snow! we played with the snow! sled down it in the sled! super fun! then we built a snowman! and we also rolled down the snow! we went to a nearby small waterfall where ice crystals had formed! it was lovely! but no photos for that! sorry. then we went river tubing. i kept falling into the water! but i was not the only one. kristel also kept falling! haha. and once, kristel fell in and i was pulling her up but i fell in too! very funny. hahahaha. but it was fun! however, we kept hitting rocks and branches! then we bathed and had rice for dinner. had quiz night. roadrunners got fifth place. but for our performance, we got first!!!! yay! thanks to kristel and daphne for their 'channel newzealand' broadcast and to charmaine and amanda for their 'peeing' in the bushes part!then slept. was our last night at opc's dorm! so sad. we talked and i told my group about my leg problem. that's how close we are! see! so close!















day 6
woke at 5.30 to pack and had spagetti for breakfast and then we set off! we went to the low elements first. we did this rope activity and i didn't hold on properly so i slid down the rope and my hand was suepr red! so i had to wear gloves. then we finished the activity! yay! and we walked to our campsite. bush bashed and missed our campsite so we got lost. then we found another campsite that was nearer to opc and bigger so we slept there. ate spagetti and cheese for dinner. but it was raining the whole day so we were drenched and did not really enjoy it! so sad! but it was freezing cold in the night. i wolke 3 times. and i was shivering like mad! so slept closer to my team mates. i slept in the same tent as huimin, christabelle, sumati and betina! the other five slept in another tent.
